For the fish balls:
500 g white fish (I used cod)
¾ cup Panko
2 eggs
1 garlic clove
½ onion (head)
1 level teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon hot paprika (optional)

1 cup = 250 ml

For the sweet and sour sauce:
120 g brown sugar
120 ml apple vinegar
60 ml ketchup
5 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon pekmez (molasses)
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder

For sprinkling:

Fish balls
Cut the onion and garlic into small pieces or grate them and add them to the minced fish fillet. Add the eggs, Panko bread crumbs, salt, hot paprika and black pepper. Mix them and form small walnut-sized balls. Place them into a baking tray, on a sheet of baking paper.

Bake in a pre-heated oven at 200°C for about 15-20 minutes. You can also fry them in cooking oil if you prefer.

The sauce
Put all the ingredients in a saucepan. Cook with a continuous stir and add the fish balls once the sauce begins to thicken. Cook for another 1-2 minutes with a stir so that the sauce can cover the fish balls from all sides. Remove from the heat and serve sprinkled with sesame.
