Fried bananas

Pisang goreng

INGREDIENTS:
6 bananas

For frying:
8 tablespoons all-purpose flour
4 tablespoons rice flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
150 ml water
150 ml coconut milk
1 egg
a pinch of salt

PREPARATION:
Peel and cut the bananas diagonally or as you would like. Beat all the ingredients for the frying together in a bowl. Leave the mixture to rest for 15 minutes or better for half an hour.
Dredge each piece of the banana into the mixture and then put it into heated cooking oil. Turn it around so that it becomes red from both sides and place it onto a sheet of kitchen paper.
Serve with different kinds of toppings – chocolate, caramel, honey, maple syrup etc.
