~400 g crushed cake, panettone, biscuits or another of your choice
~400 g mascarpone
~200 g Nutella or similar chocolate spread
The measures are approximate because they depend on your choice of sweet bread.
200-250 g chocolate corn-flakes
powdered sugar for dusting
Mix the mascarpone and the Nutella and stir with a spoon until they combine. Crush the sweet bread of choice. I used panettone. You can use an old dried sweet bread. What matters is getting sweet breadcrumbs. Add several tablespoons of the chocolate-mascarpone cream and start kneading it. Add more of the cream as you knead until you get a homogeneous dough that is suitable for forming shapes. Make small cones from the dough, each weighing about 40 g.
Beginning from the base start adding pieces of corn flakes until the whole cone is covered.
Push with your hands to ensure the corn flakes has stuck. Keep doing this until you use up all of the dough. Finish by dusting the chocolate pine cones with powdered sugar.
